God's Plan For You

Just as there are physical laws, there are spiritual laws that govern our lives.

#1 - GOD LOVES YOU AND HAS A PLAN AND PURPOSE FOR YOUR LIFE

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world: but that the world through Him might be saved.” (John 3:16-17) 

“...I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10b)

#2 - BUT BECAUSE OF OUR SINFUL NATURE, WE ARE SEPARATED FROM GOD. THAT SEPARATION BRINGS JUDGMENT AND SPIRITUAL DEATH  We are constantly trying to reach God through our own efforts, such as living a good life, philosophy, or religion.  

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23) 

“For the wages of sin is death (spiritual separation from God); but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)

#3 - THE ONLY WAY THAT WE CAN BE RECONCILED TO GOD IS THROUGH JESUS CHRIST   Through Him, we can know and experience God’s love. Christ’s death on the cross was the payment for our sins. Jesus has bridged the gap between us and God. 

" But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8) 

Jesus saith unto him, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by Me.” (John 14:6) 

After realizing these things, there is one more thing that must be done...

#4 - YOU MUST MAKE A PERSONAL DECISION TO ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOR   No one else can do this for you. YOU must be willing to make that commitment. 

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.” (John 1:12) 

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me.” (Rev. 3:20)

 To accept Jesus in your life, you must be willing to repent (turn away) from your current way of living to follow God’s new direction for your life. You must be willing to get off the throne of your life and allow Christ to become the supreme authority over your life. You must ask Him for forgiveness, eternal life, and hope. Romans 10:9-10 and 10:13 says, 

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation...For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Please read the following prayer:

Dear God, I know that Jesus is Your Son and that He died on the cross for my sins and was raised from the dead. Because I have sinned and need forgiveness, I ask Jesus to come into my heart and my life. I am willing to change the direction of my life by acknowledging Jesus as my Lord and Savior, and by turning away from my sins. Thank You for giving me forgiveness, eternal life, and hope. In Jesus’ name, amen.

"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." (John 3:36)
